Ph.D. Candidate in Economics

University of Illinois Chicago

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Illinois Chicago. I study the provision and effects of social safety net programs with a focus on education and labor supply.

My job market paper examines the importance of financial constraints youth with disabilities face during postsecondary education. I provide evidence that removing work disincentives from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits improves the educational and working outcomes of SSI recipients below age 22.

I will be available for interviews at the ASSA 2023 Annual Meeting and the 2022 European Job Market.
